“Business with health” – Millions of € in private hospitals, for treatments belonging to the public service

Hundreds of Albanians spend millions of euros on medical treatment in foreign countries. With a meager budget, Albanian health cannot cover all of the costs for patients suffering from leukemia, tumors, or who require a transplant. In numerous cases, patients have attempted to seek refused service in court by submitting indemnification bills that burden taxpayers. Is it true that authorized health-care packages are a plan that funnels funds to the private sector?
