Following the documentary “Albania 1 Euro”, a round table was held on September 16, 2022 where results that this initiative produce in the Albanian economy were discussed and analyzed. This documentary was broadcasted within the project funded by the European Union ” Enhance Journalism to make Accountability occur and Democracy Function”, implemented by Top Channel in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation.
Several experts, journalists and activists participated in this round table. Participants emphasized the questionable way in which businesses have benefited from the “Albania one euro” initiative. It is impossible for foreign businesses to be implementers of these projects, even though this initiative had the primary goal of absorbing foreign investments.
