Special individuals with relationships or friendships with the government are becoming wealthier by the day under the emblem of “Albania 1 euro.” The labor and sacrifice of an entire population are already in the hands of a few oligarchs. How was it possible to get over 30 leases for only one euro? Why was the goal of this program altered? Why is the purpose now to provide public assets to Albanian entrepreneurs rather than attracting foreign investors? Why does our country lack a registry of publicly available assets that can be leased? Why are these contracts not made public? How is a contract like this won when there is no fair competition? What requirements must the company meet in order to profit from this initiative?
