A round table was held following the documentary “Urban Renaissance”, broadcasted in the “Inside Story” program by Top Channel on October 4, 2022.
This was the last among 10 documentaries broadcasted within the project “Enhance Journalism to make Accountability occur and Democracy Function”, implemented by Top Channel in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation.
Urban planners, architects, activists and journalists attended this roundtable, where analysed findings of the documentary about government’s strategy for the urban retraining of city centres. Activists expressed their consideration for the investigative research and abuses identified and reported by the documentary related to inflated costs, projects without economic impact and favouring of businessmen close to politics.
