About

The project “Enhance Journalism to make Accountability occur and Democracy Function!”(EJAD) is funded by the European Union and implemented by TOP Channel in partnership with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung EV.

The overall objective of the project is to enhance the quality of journalism through independent production, and strengthening of media pluralism in Albania.
The specific objective is to improve the quality of investigative reporting serving the Albanian public interest on important topics related to EU Acquis.
Three main components of EJAD project: Capacity Building Component, Public Awareness Component, Networking Component.

The main results expected to be met by the project are:

The increased capacities of journalists and media CSOs on investigative journalism and media freedom;
Increased number of corruption affairs in economic and social sectors investigated and open for discussion to relevant stakeholders and the wider public;
Increased awareness of general public on investigation of issues of public interest;
Increasing cooperation and collaboration of investigative journalists and media CSOs at national level;
